It’s officially less than a month until your big move and the “To Do” list is growing each day. Dormify is here to rescue you with our guide on what you should be focusing on for the next few weeks:

Class Registration
You might have registered for classes during a summer orientation session, but if not, then you might be registering now. Make sure you know any required classes you have to take, like English, Science, or History classes before starting. Once you cover your requirements, sign up for the classes that really interest you. If you’ve got any questions, reach out to your academic advisor or consult your class Facebook page to see if anyone else has any tips or suggestions.
Take A Look Around
Look into what’s available around your college campus, especially if you’re going to a school in a small town. Hunt for nearby grocery stores, restaurants, gyms, clothing stores, pharmacies, and other stores or places that you might need.
Check Up Time
Many schools require that their students have certain shots and updated physicals, so head over to your doctor for your last check up before going to school. Find the forms that you need and give them to your doctor to fill out and fax to your school. If you have any prescriptions, make sure they are renewed and sent to a pharmacy by campus.
Go Greek!
If you want to join a sorority, or are just curious, check out what Greek life is like on your campus. Register for fall recruitment, if it’s offered, and pack all of the outfits you’ll need for rush week.
Hit The Books
Now that you’ve registered for classes, buy your textbooks. Check out sites like Amazon, BookHolders, eBay, and Chegg for books that are probably cheaper than at your college bookstore. Buy books for all the classes that you’ll definitely be taking, but hold off on buying textbooks for any classes that you’re not sure about.
Box It Up
Something that you really need to know- DO NOT wait to pack up everything until the last few days before school starts. We know from experience that waiting will not help you in the end.
